Thumbs down Buzo restaurant

Salt - everything tastes of too much salt. I eat out 4-5 times per week and have lived in London, Paris, Tokyo, New York & Sydney. Went to this place "by chance" with 2 friends. Service & ambience is OK, but if I owned the restaurant I would get another chef.

items -
scallop (?) in pastry 'special' entrée - just odd (& salty)
frittata - not what you would expect (& salty)
steak - in a salty sauce
jewfish - best item, cooked well, but swimming in oil
risotto - as aesthetically pleasing as it was tasting (& salty)
potatoes – nothing special (& salty)
salad - same

Make your own mind up - everywhere deserves a 'chance', but I only go back to places I enjoy.

Thumbs down Mediocrity to a tee

I actually agree with one of the other reviews,

Although the atmosphere is pleasant enough, the food is somewhere between the mediocre (and very over priced) pub meals and the saltiness of a low-end fish and chip shop.

The service is quite ok, the atmospher again no issues, the food extremely ordinary. A new Chef, might give this place a fighting chance.

Save your money.

Buzo is awesome the food is devine, these people don't know what they are talking about, I give it a ten out of ten and I too have lived overseas and this is my most favourite place to eat. You won't be dissapointed I promise.

I have been regularly dining at BUZO for many years and have followed them in their move up to 3 Jersey road, ( which perhaps u r not aware of),which happened in January this year.
Not only do I rate the food up their with the best in Sydney, (and so much more affordable), but they have one of the best wine lists that I have come across and as for the service, well I am looked after very well each and every time I go there.I am sure they look after first timers just as well.
Yes it is extremely hard to get in there at the moment, for me included, but I suspect it is the good food that is bringing people back, I love it, even though it can be occasionally "cosy", the place has a great feel, laughter, smiles and satisfaction throughout the night, I will return with many, many friends, family and business colleagues. Overall, it has the goods, find another place which comes close time and time again.

If the first few were bad , why did you go back for more?

Seems a bit wierd to me.
