If you haven't been to Grotta Capri you really should go, at least once.
Don't feel silly looking around. There is so much to see.

The food is wonderful. The staff and service excellent.
I live close by so there is no problem with driving home.
For those nights when you want good food but don't feel like dressing up, they do all their dishes as home deliver too.

They are celebrating 50 years this year. 50 years of loyal patrons.
They have to be doing something right.

Talking Grotta capri rocks!!!!

I was still living in the area when I introduced my future husband to this wonderful restaurant and he was hooked big time. All of the staff (including the manager) are very friendly and helpful and the food is to die for. The seafood platter is a masterpiece, fresh, tasty, varied and not covered in chips like some places.

From the outside it's not much to look at, kinda like like a Gaudi creation but the inside is truly unique. It is based on an Italian Grotto (like duh!!!) and is a magical underwater cave setting.

We now live out at Richmond, but make a regular trip down for some wonderful food and great hospitality. It's worth the drive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anybody, your taste buds will thank you afterwards.

Cheers all!!!!!!

We've eaten at some of the best restaurants in Sydney and The Grotta Capri is up there with the best of them. Food, service, ambience and value are all excellent.

Not only is the food sublime and melts in your mouth but the wine list is very comprehensive and well thought out.

Very strange to find such a gem of a restaurant tucked away in suburban Kensington.

Talking Underwater adventure

Fifty years of trading has to indicate that the Grotta Capri has certainly got it right.

It's a little hard for me to rate this objectively, this place used to be owned by an old family friend & we've also gotten very friendly with the current owner & staff.

The Grotta Capri must be one of the most unique & unusual venues in Sydney. Set up like an underwater cave it's decorated with fairy lights and fish tanks. The setting is very romantic and would be ideal when trying to impress a special somebody. They even have a "lucky proposal" table.

The Grotta Capri has one of the most comprehensive wine lists, with a great selection of local & imported wines. If you can't find something to drink then you're pretty fussy. They also allow BYO during the week.

The menu is just as comprehensive as the wine list. Being a seafood restaurant the bulk of the menu is seafood but it also caters to non seafood fans & vegetarians. The signature dish is the seafood platter, an amazing selection of lobster, oysters, mussels, prawns, salmon, crab, balmain bugs, calamari, scallops, octopus and fish prepared in a variety of ways. Prices are more than reasonable especially when the quality of food is as great as this.

Customer service is exceptional, no attitude here from staff or management.

Great food & service, amazing ambience and value definately make the Grotta Capri worth visiting. Don't just take my word for it check it out at :
