Fifty years of trading has to indicate that the Grotta Capri has certainly got it right.
It's a little hard for me to rate this objectively, this place used to be owned by an old family friend & we've also gotten very friendly with the current owner & staff.
The Grotta Capri must be one of the most unique & unusual venues in Sydney. Set up like an underwater cave it's decorated with fairy lights and fish tanks. The setting is very romantic and would be ideal when trying to impress a special somebody. They even have a "lucky proposal" table.
The Grotta Capri has one of the most comprehensive wine lists, with a great selection of local & imported wines. If you can't find something to drink then you're pretty fussy. They also allow BYO during the week.
The menu is just as comprehensive as the wine list. Being a seafood restaurant the bulk of the menu is seafood but it also caters to non seafood fans & vegetarians. The signature dish is the seafood platter, an amazing selection of lobster, oysters, mussels, prawns, salmon, crab, balmain bugs, calamari, scallops, octopus and fish prepared in a variety of ways. Prices are more than reasonable especially when the quality of food is as great as this.
Customer service is exceptional, no attitude here from staff or management.
Great food & service, amazing ambience and value definately make the Grotta Capri worth visiting. Don't just take my word for it check it out at :
