Talking Spoiled for choice.

Dolce is very well named indeed, in fact it's more than good, it's great!!!!!

Set in a corner site of what was previously a "gentleman's establishment" (oh ok, it was a brothel), Dolce is very eye catching and has a wonderful menu to match. The complimentary olives and bread are a very welcoming touch.

It has a very stark interior, mainly white walls with muted fittings and the odd red feature to draw attention. It presents a very attractive outlook. We dined inside but the lighting in the courtyard presented an attractive picture. It would be a lovely spot to enjoy a nice summer lunch.

The menu is very comprehensive, almost information overload. There are some menu items that come with their own daily special. The waitress did a great job reeling off all the variations on the selections. We chose the calamari (this time stuffed with ciabatta bread, fetta cheese and spinach) as a entree between two of us and the portion was more than enough to go round. The portions are very generous and even sharing an entree we each struggled to finish our mains. Thumbs up for the crepes stuffed with butternut pumpkin, sage & burnt butter and my partner raved about his steak (also a menu variation). Prices are surprising low, especially given the quality & portion size.

Staff are very welcoming & friendly. We don't often dine out in this area but will be back to this one, hopefully soon.....
