Went there yesterday 10.07.06. Had to take my girl out for birthday dinner and she wanted to go there. Ordered the chicken liver pate and Seafood chowder for starters. The chowder was ok, bit on the lemony site though, the pate was a disgrace- very grainy- overcooked, grey on the outside, plain tasting.
For Mains a 500g T-Bone rare and a 400g Scotch blue. The Meat was done as ordered, the red wine jus tasty but cold, mash potato lukewarm, t-bone steak almost cold! Did send the plates back, the meal came out fast and hot, unfortunately the seasoning chef must have had a day off- or made just the seafood chowder!

. Whats the point in going out for a meal, if you need to season your own meal- might as well cook it at home!!!
Anyhow the side of garlic mushrooms was a generous serve, so was the mash that came with 1 of the steaks and i guess the chips were a good serve too!
Although the service staff were friendly, the meals served dont reflect value for money. Starters between 16-20 and the mains at 35-40. Too much.
Good selection of wine though, had 2 nice bottles. lol. Pissheads

There are better restaurants in town @ better value!
--had 2 waters, the 1st a caraffe of sydneys best, 2nd some italian? waterwonder. when i asked for the bill, we were charged for 2 bottles. I pointed out to the waiter that we had been charged for 2 bottles. The reply was that they charged for the 2nd bottle of water that we'd asked for but they'd taken it off..................I think it's bloody bad if u try charging someone 8.50 for some tap water!
Anyway i shall not return!!
