| | Extremely poor level of service! This place had the worst services I had ever come across.
A friend and I went to Ziggys last night. After waiting for 10 minutes we ushered a waitress to bring us the menu, after another tiring 10 minutes and countless times trying to get the wait staffs attention we managed to tell them our order - just a latte and a mango juice.
Half an hour later, we called a waitress telling her we were waiting for a latte and a juice. She came back saying "sorry" it was not in their computer. If that wasnt enough, one sip of that juice was enough to tell me that it had gone off - it was fermented and fizzy.
Having had enough, I told the waitress to take it away and that I didnt want to place a replacement order. She wasnt apologetic at all and was very rude. We couldnt get out of their fast enough.
Imagine my horror, when I went up to the counter and they insisted I pay for the juice!! The waitress said "It tasted fine to me" I said "It was fizzy and fermented and tasted rotten and you think it tasted great??" She replied with a cold "Yes, it was fine, there was nothing wrong with it".
I had never ever come across a place where they made me pay for something I had not even consumed. She offered a 10% discount but I couldnt believe the nerve of these people. I paid and walked out of there.
It only occured to me later that I should have taken my "fine" juice and had it tested!! It was definately do not recommend this place based on this extremely poor level of service! |

| | This review astounds me....I have been frequenting Ziggys for a couple of years now and have found exemplary service, nice food (especially the $11.50 lunch) I am celebrating my 40th birthday today at Ziggys I could think of no better atmosphere to celebrate in all of Sydney...It's a great casual atmosphere where I know I can entertain friends and have a great time. I am not associated with the owners of Ziggys at all I am a genuine believer that Ziggys is the best cafe in Sydney... |

| | Always another day, another waiter, another good nights sleep It is interesting how we all have different perspectives on the same place. We get a different waiter, who has had a different nights sleep, our own personalities can be different, and react to the same situations differently, we can all overlook certain "failings" differently.
All reviews should be treated with a grain of salt. Reviews should be encouraged, as I argue that if there had not been this negative review, there would not have been the favourable review from drewashley. I say bring it on! Have some lively discussion.
But always be careful when having the negative reviews. Keep things in perspective, that it might not "always" be like that, and not "always" like that for everyone. It was your bad experience for that day, and the restaurant should have done better at handling it. But it is not to say everyone always has bad experiences at a certain place.
