| | | I have had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant on two ocassions, during the week and on a very busy Sat night.
I found the service wonderful and the food is fantastic. I went with a friend who is Italian and very picky about Italian food. I am also picky about good pasta. They make one of the best canelloni's I have ever tasted.
The atmosphere is a little noisy with the high ceilings but on the whole, beautiful food and great service!

| | Awful Service We came on a Sunday night at 8:00pm, and were told by a waitress that the restaurant was closing up early (the advertised closing time was 9:00pm). That was fine with us, and we were about to go. But the manager didn't want to lose any customers, so he asked us to come through.
Before we had even sat down properly, another waitress came to take our order. She told us not to rush, but asked us to order drinks and entrees in the same breath. When we asked for 5 minutes to look at the menu, she launched into a lengthy explanation about why she needed to take the order quickly (so that we can get our entrees before the mains). When we finally came around to ordering, the same waitress rather condescending asked us whether we knew what we were ordering (we might not have had Veal Marsala, but we sure as hell know what Bruschetta is!)
Having eaten in some top-class restaurants, it was a bit rich getting this type of treatment in a restaurant in the ‘burbs. The service coloured our experience of the food, which was reasonable but definitely did not justify the price (about mid-$30 for mains). We will not be going back. If they want to charge those sorts of prices, they would need to provide the level of service to match. | |
