Reccently we returned to Trentino's On George to find things have taken a turn for the worse.
The menu is still good and once again there is an impressive list on the specials board. The entree of garlic prawns & oysters were a great portion size and tasted as good as they looked. There was a problem with the mains. My partner swore blind that his lobster mornay was made from crab meat & I had to agree with him, as it didn't taste anything like lobster to me either. I have issues with paying market price for something only to have it substituted for a cheaper alternative that we also suspected was canned.
The worst aspect was the downturn the service has taken. It took over an hour to recieve our entrees and yet another hour for our mains. This was on a quiet weeknight so neither of us were impressed.

The waitress tried her best & was very apologetic but the fault seemed to be with the kitchen. Our dessert & coffee was served promptly because the waitress prepared both.
With the exception of the faux lobster the meals were pleasant. It was the poor service left a very sour taste in our mouths. It will be a long time before we decide to return to this place as there are so many good alternatives in the hawkesbury for us to explore.
Trentino's On George please lift your game.
