 Needs Work..
Decor: fresh white sharp contemporary, a good look especially for a suburban restaurant, music a bit loud. Staff: Owner needs to flow a little, be a bit more casual, this is not five star dining (and never will be). Wait staff skittish and lacked knowledge, probably holiday casuals. Menu: Short but creative, lacks detail description and preparation notes, get rid of the laminate it looks cheap, so does the $3.50 salt & pepper shakers. Food: Entree, Zucchini flowers with ricotta was good, Calamari was average. Mains, Duck was bland and chewy, Pork had more flavour, Chicken had no taste at all. The shared dish of vegetables was poorly cooked, all soft and soggy. Value: $130 for three people @ two courses mmm - poor. Suggestions: Ditch the herb & garlic bread, but more detail in the menu and add the specials in writing on the menu. Improve the food overall. SMH Good Food rating: 9/20 |

This restaurant has now been taking over by new owners...and what a job they have done! The menu is extensive and very hard to choose from which is a nice change from the usual. Decor is the same and staff very friendly. Food wise...soft shell crab is to die for...a taste sensation. The mini dips was nice except the olive oil in the balsamic/oil mix was a bit funny tasting but this has now changed after talking to the chef. 2 different veal dishes 1 as a special order was cooked to perfection and servings are more than generous. Desert was a take home treat as we needed time for our meal to settle all round fantastic experience. Good luck for the future guys you are on a winner!! |

Thanks for your review. Its always great when a restaurant with a questionable review has changes (ie ownership), and is transformed .I look forward to hearing more good reports.
