| | Not terribly wonderful this time A couple years ago I went to centrepoint A la Carte to celebrate my arrival back to Oz, and I must admit I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the service and most importantly, THE FOOD!
So I go back there a couple of weeks ago and find that things have sadly dropped off very significantly. We did not have a pleasant experience.
Sure, there are a few nice waiters left there, but the are plenty that aren't. I gotta say, if you are fortunate enough to get the German treatment at Centrepoint, you're sweet, otherwise you might be out of luck.
The food quality has dropped off a little over time, but there are still some rather tasty plates, you just need to be careful. |

| | Quite mediocre My one & only experience eating A la Carte at Centre Point was back in 2002 & I must say I was a tad disappointed. Whilst I can't complain about the service or the size & taste of the soup, the main course was a classic example of paying an arm & a leg for a large plate with a small & fairly mediocre quality meal. The interior could also do with a bit of an update as it had a very 'early 80s' look about it. Without a doubt, the best part of the evening was the spectacular view. |

| | 360 centrepoint We dinned at the a' la carte restaurant, (not the buffet, we have been upstairs to the buffet and we really enjoyed it. ). The a'la carte food was beautiful and our waiter (we think he was french) was so helpful and cheery. The barramundi was to die for and my partner had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. One of those meals that you can still remember weeks later it was that good. The atmosphere was subtle and once again I have to mention the great service and staff. | |
